Samsung Unveils – NX10 Compact Interchangeable Lens Camera

Samsung has officially unveiled smallest interchangeable lens camera, the NX10. The NX10 sports a 14.6 million pixel resolution APS-C CMOS sensor, the new DRIMe II Pro processing engine, and a plentiful ISO capability ranging from 100-3200. The camera uses a 3-inch AMOLED screen for easier viewing even in bright sunshine and at acute viewing angles, which means that users no longer need to their screen with their hand.

NX10 hybrid digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera which is straight forward competieter of Panasonic’s Micro Four Thirds models.

Samsung NX10 can also shoot 720p HD movies as MPEG-4 files at 30 frames per second, the mirror box-less NX 10 has a more compact casing than a DSLR, though it still retains the capability to swap lenses.

It also sports an electronic viewfinder with 100% field of view, an ISO range of 100-3200, similar to the Panasonic models, and a built-in pop-up flash. Samsung has especially designed this camera not by keeping, needs of professional in mind but layman users also, so now everyone can click professional pictures without any hassles.

Apart from pop-up flash, NX 10 has a HDMI port to allow play back of videos on an HDTV screen; and a supersonic dust-removal system for the APS -C sensor and it’s auto focus speed is one of the key advantages of its DRIMe II Pro imaging engine.

The compact camera claims to feature ‘one of the fastest AF in its class on the market,’ using the new DRIMe II Pro engine and advanced AF algorithm, which ‘provides ultra fast AF speed with the higher precision of contrast AF,’ according to Samsung.

It is scheduled to hit the market most probably in spring 2010. The last but not least the another eye catching feature of NX 10 is, its small size. It weighs 350g and measures 123×87x39mm, that’s it!
